    Description

1958 Gaylord Perry Signed Minor League Contract. The future Hall of Fame hurler was just nineteen when he signed this contract to represent the Phoenix farm club of the San Francisco Giants, beginning an affiliation with the team to which he would provide the first decade of his storied Major League career. Perry's 9/10 blue ink autograph appears once on the first page and twice on the third, joined on the latter by the signature of his father as Gaylord apparently qualified as a minor by the rules of the league. A handwritten notation establishes a $7,500 signing bonus for the son and a $12,500 signing bonus for dad(!), so it appears that Papa Perry needed some convincing. Four page document exhibits general handling wear and original storage folds, but no damage. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
