1957 National League All-Stars Team Signed Baseball. A three-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning left the Nationals just one run short of evening the tally with the Americans at Sportsman's Park this year, providing the St. Louis crowd with no shortage of action and drama. There was certainly no shortage of top echelon talent for the National League-leaning crowd to support either, with this ONL (Giles) sphere from the event documenting six of the Hall of Fame roster mates: Musial, Alston, Spahn, Mathews, Banks and Schoendienst, as well as Hodges, Simmons, Littlefield, Burdette and fifteen additional, averaging an astounding 9-10/10 with the exception of Musial, which has bled slightly. The ball itself is an even and attractive off-white with perfect stamping, likely the result of having been stored in the original Spalding envelope for five decades (included). A remarkable convergence of legends available to the educated collector for a single winning bid. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
