    Description

1957 Napoleon "Larry" Lajoie Single Signed Baseball. So popular in his day that the Cleveland club was renamed "The Naps" in his honor, Lajoie bedevils those collectors seeking his essential single, with just three appearing in our auction results database of the last dozen years. Here we present the fourth, an Official Texas League (Butler) sphere signed and dated by the inaugural class Hall of Famer, "Larry Lajoie, June 11th/57." His blue ballpoint ink survives with 6/10 boldness. The ball is speckled with infield clay, clearly having seen action prior to its encounter with Lajoie. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
