1957 Cleveland Indians Team Signed Baseball With Roger Maris. Who would have guessed in June of 1958 that the Cleveland Indians were trading away the next home run king in Roger Maris? With nine home runs in fifty-one games for the Tribe, there were flashes of his power, but the .225 batting average that came with it was too hard for the team to stomach, when they could get Vic Power in the trade, with his .332-16-80 line? Still, the brief 1957 to 1958 stint in Cleveland served to make team signed baseballs with Maris a rather tough commodity.

The offered baseball is a stunning example of a 1957 (Maris' rookie year) Indians team ball. Placed on a Cleveland Baseball Federation Official League orb, the signatures average a superb 8-10/10 on a Mint, white ball. Twenty-six signatures in all cover the ball, highlighted by Maris (8/10), Cal McLish, Bob Lemon, Early Wynn and Eddie Stanky. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
