    Description

1954 New York Giants Team Signed Baseball. Few experts gave the National League Champs much World Series hope against the Cleveland Indians, who had posted an outrageous 111-43 record during the regular season and boasted three future Hall of Famers in their pitching rotation. And nobody could have dreamed of the four-game sweep handed to the American League juggernaut, establishing the last World Championship in Polo Grounds history. This high-grade sphere features twenty 9/10 and better blue ink signatures from the victorious underdogs, including Mays, Durocher, Irvin, Wilhelm, Maglie, Dark, Rhodes, Gomez, Thompson and many more. An authentic Leo Durocher signature is incredibly scarce as the majority of the team balls have stamped Durocher specimens. Non-official ball is lightly coated. One of the finest known specimens from the season of The Catch. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
