1953-90 Ted Williams Signed Letters Lot of 10. This collection features a total of ten pieces of Ted Williams' personal correspondence, with six of the items signed by "The Splendid Splinter." The earliest letter is dated 1953 and was sent from his military base to a friend. He refers to having a "close call" and we can only wonder what that entailed. The letter measures 6.5x10" and features an 8/10 full signature. A letter from the following year, written to a Florida State University baseball player, offers advice on the best exercises to perform. It has been signed in 9/10 ink. Two letters to Williams' personal attorneys Johnny and Grace Lutz are included. One is in regards to selling a house, although he is also concerned whether his new fishing equipment had arrived yet, while the other is a a Power of Attorney form. The former is signed simply "Ted," while the latter features a full "Theodore Samuel Williams" signature, both in 8/10.

From 1990 comes a personal greeting card to Grace Lutz, in 8/10 quality. On Yankees letterhead is a typed letter from Bob Fishel regarding assistance for Williams' camp, which "The Kid" has signed as well at the bottom (8/10). The remaining four documents are regarding Power of Attorney, but do not have Williams' signature on them. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
