1952 Mickey Mantle Signed Magazine Photograph. Spectacular sophomore season Yankee photographic portrait captures the twenty-one year old Commerce Comet on the rise. One fan clearly saw the potential in the young outfielder, capturing a moment of his time to create an enormously desirable early format inscription. The future Hall of Famer inscribes, "To Joe Abreu, My Best Wishes, Mickey Mantle." We must stress that this is Mantle's rookie style autograph, the rarest and most desirable of all. The 8.5x10.5" color image has been mounted on a heavy card stock backing for protection, and now exhibits only moderate wear at the corners, well clear of the inscription. The vintage ink rates 6/10. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
