    Description

1952 Mickey Mantle & Yankee Teammates Signed News Photograph. This is one of our all-time favorite Mantle signed photos, both for the charming composition of the shot and the enormously desirable rookie-format autograph from the twenty year-old legend in the making. Original paper caption on verso of this "United Press Associations" photo tells the tale, explaining that Vic Raschi's raised index finger signifies his one-hit masterpiece over the visiting Detroit Tigers on July 13th. Mantle, Yogi Berra and Joe Collins join the shot as home run hitters in the eleven to one victory. Each of the black fountain pen autographs projects at a strength of approximately 7/10 and the 7x9" photo is free of condition distractions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
