    Description

1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The third of five consecutive World Championship seasons in the Bronx, though this is a Yankees team best remembered for the emergence of a youngster from Commerce, Oklahoma named Mickey Mantle. His tough rookie signature is applied with 7/10 black fountain pen ink to the side panel of the presented OAL (Harridge) ball, and joined by twenty-four equally bold (or stronger) autographs including Rizzuto, Mize, Berra, Martin, McDougald, Sain, Woodling, Bauer and more. Joe DiMaggio, unfortunately, is not present among the signers, but a period "J.D." notation on the Reach logo may well indicate that the ball was the Yankee Clipper's own, explaining his autographs absence. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
