    Description

1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with Genuine DiMaggio, Mantle, Stengel. We all know that the 1951 Yankees rate among the most desirable of all post-war team signed spheres for the single-season partnership of the veteran Joe DiMaggio and the rookie Mickey Mantle. But DiMaggio's common use of a clubhouse signer, and Mantle's lengthy mid-season minor league stint, have complicated the search for a genuine horsehide pairing. Tougher still is the addition of a genuine Casey Stengel, arguably an even more important factor in making this team ball one of the finest to surface from the three-peating World Champs. Twenty-six autographs in all appear on this OAL (Harridge) orb, with other notables including Rizzuto, Dickey (2), Mize, Berra, McDougald, Henrich, Crosetti, Houk, Raschi and more. Signature quality ranges from 6/10 to 8/10 with only a couple falling slightly below. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
