    Description

1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The most desirable post-war sphere in Yankees history, and arguably the post-war history of baseball at large, is presented here for the discerning collector. World Championship relevance aside, the tremendous appeal of '51 Yankees balls comes from the single-season convergence of iconic pinstripers Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle, each of whom appear on this OAL (Harridge) ball in 7/10 and 6/10 blue ink respectively. Joining the Clipper and the Comet are twenty-six fellow Bombers, notably Dickey, Berra, Rizzuto, Mize, Martin, Henrich, Reynolds, Crosetti, McDougald and Houk. All listed names, and the majority of the balance, are comparable in quality to Joe and Mickey, though a couple lesser figures fall a few points below. A coating of shellac and a few surface imperfections are noted. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
