1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball, PSA EX-MT+ 6.5 from the Casey Stengel Collection. Battling with the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers for the status of most desirable post-war team ball is the '51 Yanks, which makes a strong play for the title by virtue of the club's status as the only one to feature the talents of both Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle. Each of these Hall of Fame center fielders checks in on this OAL (Harridge) ball featuring twenty-three autographs from the Champions of the World. Among the balance of autographs are Berra, Rizzuto, Reynolds, Lopat, Bauer, Silvera, McDougald, Woodling and Houk. The authenticators at PSA have designated the autographs as 7 and the ball as 6, for the combined grade as listed. They also note that the DiMaggio signature is secretarial. The ball has been encapsulated in a special PSA ball cube with a "Stengel Collection" label, noting the impressive EX-MT+ 6.5 status. A full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity attesting to the Stengel provenance is included as well.
