    Description

1950's Paul Waner Single Signed Baseball. He recorded his 3,152nd and final career hit for the New York Yankees, the only base knock he posted in ten pinstriped games. Big Poison is best remembered for his fifteen seasons of service to Pittsburgh however, leading the Pirates to the 1927 World Series where they would meet the irrestistable force of Murderer's Row. The elder Waner's passing in 1965 left a considerable deficiency of quality autograph examples, particularly apparent in the scarcity of singles. Here we present what is arguably the finest of that microscopic supply, a "Best Wishes, Paul Waner" provided in booming 9/10 blue ink on the side panel of an ONL (Giles) sphere. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
