1950's Gil Hodges Signed Photograph. Few players were better in the decade of the 1950's than Dodger legend Gil Hodges. Only Duke Snider, his fellow boy in blue, hit more home runs and RBI in the decade. Hodges represents all that is the Dodgers, and remains one of the team's most beloved players. With eight All-Star appearances and 370 home runs, Hodges helped the Bums win two World Series and won another as manager of the 1969 Miracle Mets. He may not be in Cooperstown, but many argue his career in the 1950's should give him the nod.

Presented here is a beautiful vintage 1950's photograph of Hodges in a posed batting stance. Three punch holes remain on the left side, likely how it was stored in a newspaper photograph file for years. Editorial touch-ups have been applied neatly to the cap, and there is a bit of yellow staining in the top left. The central image remains in stellar condition, with none of the creases or indentations normally found on period photographs. The signature ranks in at a nice 8/10 in blue ball point pen. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
