1950 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The Yankee Clipper assumes his proper residency upon the sweet spot of this OAL (Harridge) ball celebrating the second of five consecutive World Championships under the new leadership of the iconoclastic Casey Stengel. A thin coating of shellac has performed its intended purpose admirably, preserving all twenty-five signature at a strength of 8/10 or better. Other notables: Mize, Rizzuto, Berra, Martin, Bauer, Raschi, Henrich, Reynolds and Silvera. A number "36" penned on the Reach logo is similar to the number "37" we encountered on baseballs from the personal collection of Casey Stengel, so we suspect this ball (and the 1953 Yankees ball also presented within this auction) was once the possession of Johnny Mize, though we cannot state this definitively. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
