    Description

1949 Ty Cobb Handwritten Letter. While he may have had a reputation for a mean streak a mile long, in this handwritten letter "The Georgia Peach" seems quite the gentleman, as he truly seemed to be after his playing days. Writing to "Helene," on Cobb's own letterhead, he shares of some snowy travels, news of friends, his busy schedule and an apology for being unaware he owed her some money. Signed simply "Ty," the 1949 dated letter is completely in 10/10 green ink. Matched with a beautiful limited Bruce Murray 11x14" photograph, the entire piece is framed to dimensions of 20x25." Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
