    Description

1949 Cy Young Signed Government Postcard, PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10. The man whose name will forever be synonymous with pitching excellence graciously answered a young autograph collector's request just weeks before his passing, applying an unimprovable black fountain pen ink signature to the boy's self addressed postcard. Postal stamping and torn upper corner remain well clear of the signature. Postmarked from Young's hometown of Newcomerstown, Ohio, dated "Aug 26, 1949." Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Gem Mint 10.
