    Description

1948 Branch Rickey Signed Brooklyn Dodgers Stock Certificate. Having fundamentally changed the game of baseball for the better a year earlier with his introduction of Jackie Robinson to the Majors, Rickey was back to his standard chores as team president in 1948, signing this attractive certificate issuing one hundred shares of stock to "Marie McKeever Mulvey." The McKeever name should be familiar to baseball historians as Stephen McKeever served as main owner of the team between Ebbets' 1925 passing and his own in 1938. Rickey's black fountain pen signature at lower left of the 9x12" certificate rates a flawless 10/10, and the piece exhibits typical storage folds but no other noteworthy condition issues. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
