1948 Babe Ruth Signed Photograph. Just two months before succumbing to the cancer that had robbed the Babe of his once powerful slugging physique, Ruth demonstrated the generosity of spirit for which he was famous by signing this 8x10" shot of himself in happier times. The early 1930's spring training image is printed to dimensions of 8x10" and inscribed at upper left, "To Jimmy DiBetta, From Babe Ruth, 6-21-48." The bold fountain pen ink maintains a strength of 9/10, and a mild crease and tear at upper right remains well clear of both the autograph and the image's central focus. A top-tier example of a piece that should be on every collector's want list. Consigned by a family member of the original recipient. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
