1947 Babe Ruth Signed Reader's Digest Radio Sheet. Obtained by a Fordham University student working as a CBS usher at the time, the copied article from the school's newspaper describes the encounter as follows, "A boyhood dream of his came true last week when he met Babe Ruth and talked with him." Babe Ruth was in NYC to record for an April 24, 1947 Reader's Digest radio program entitled "Presenting Babe Ruth." The cast of the program signed a sheet for the program with Ruth's signature appearing on its own to the left of others. Signature remains as bold as the day it was signed, while the page is fragile and exhibits some wear and creasing. A minor crease line is hardly visible between the legend's first and last signed names. A CD recording of the radio program is also included with the lot. JSA Auction LOA.
