1946 Russ Hodges Signed Radio Contract as New York Yankees Announcer. Six decades later, his radio call of Bobby Thomson's Polo Grounds shot still raises goosebumps. His "The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant!" hysterics are now tightly woven into the fabric of baseball history, but Hodges' signature remains a rare find for the autograph hobbyist. Presented is the most appealing example of same, the contract establishing Hodges as the radio voice of the New York Yankees for the 1946 season, which featured the return to the Bronx of the great Joe DiMaggio. Hodges' signature rates a perfect 10/10, and the onion skin page exhibits original storage folds and some edge creasing well clear of all text. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
