1946 Nashua (NH) Dodgers Team Signed Page with Roy Campanella. The Class-B New England League farm club of the Brooklyn Dodgers is widely considered to be the first racially integrated professional baseball team in the United States, predating by a year the arrival of Jackie Robinson (who played in Montreal in 1946) in Brooklyn. This team is also noteworthy for the pairing of future Bums Don Newcombe and Roy Campanella, each of whom are present among the fourteen 9/10 pencil signatures on the autograph album's only signed page. Also signing is key Dodgers executive Buzzie Bavasi, who was charged with smoothing the integration process in Nashua but once lost his cool and challenged a group of Lynn Red Sox players to a fight in the stadium parking lot. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
