    Description

1945 Philadelphia Phillies Team Signed Baseball with Foxx. Like fellow legendary sluggers Ruth before him and Aaron afterwards, Foxx ended his career in the city where he began it, albeit with a different ballclub. After giving his best years to Connie Mack and the Athletics, Double-X launched the final seven homers of his 534 as a member of the Phillies, who gave him proper honors with his sweet spot position on this ONL (Frick) ball. He is joined by twenty-four of his new teammates including Joltin' Joe's brother Vince, who couldn't help Jimmie rescue the squad from the bottom of the National League. Wartime attendance was so low that team balls from the '45 Phillies are all but non-existent, making this ball highly desirable despite the club's intense mediocrity. Signature quality averages 7 to 8/10, and a couple stains on one panel do not affect notable signatures. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.
