    Description

1944 St. Louis Browns Team Signed Baseball. Cynics will blame it on a talent pool depleted by military service, but a pennant is a pennant, and if it took the greatest war mankind has ever known to bring the Brownies their only flag, then so be it. This ONL (Giles) ball, likely signed during their World Series meeting with crosstown rivals the Cardinals, offers nineteen exceptional blue ink signatures, not a one grading below 8/10. Among the notables are manager Sewell, Potter, Kreevich, Galehouse and Byrnes. War time balls are tough, and this is one of the finest we've seen. LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
