1943 Charles "Kid" Nichols Signed Letter. A gracious response to an autograph request from the mother of a sick child is the subject of this rare TLS, featuring wonderful baseball content and encouragement from one of the Dead Ball Era's greatest hurlers. He writes, in part, "...some day I hope to see his name in the head lines of all the papers. It is a great life for a young boy, clean in every way, and great to build a boy up." Nichols' closing black fountain pen ink signature rates a definitive 10/10, and the single typed page of letterhead from a Kansas City recreational center exhibits original mailing folds otherwise EX-MT+. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
