    Description

1942 Babe Ruth, Gary Cooper & More Signed Photograph. Intriguing keepsake derives from the family of Irvin Lisagor, the Washington Bureau Chief for the Chicago Daily News/Sun Times to whom the Bambino inscribed this 7.5x9" photograph snapped on the set of the classic film "The Pride of the Yankees." Lisagor is one of the gentlemen posed at left, all sportswriters hired by the studio to ensure authenticity in the baseball scenes of the acclaimed Lou Gehrig biopic. Also signing the photograph are leading man Gary Cooper, top studio executive Samuel Goldwyn, and a pair of autographs (one inscribed "Best always to you Irvin") from legendary sports agent Christy Walsh. All are rendered in the boldest of black fountain pen. The photograph itself is equivalently fine and makes for a marvelous display. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
