    Description

1941 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. This squad is often thought of as the finest of the dynasty that took home seven American League pennants in an eight-year stretch. Certainly part of the appeal derives from Joe DiMaggio's outrageous fifty-six game hitting streak registered during the '41 campaign, and Marilyn's future husband is present and accounted for on this important team ball. Among the twenty-nine teammates appearing with him are Dickey, Henrich, Gomez, Crosetti, Rizzuto, Ruffing and many more. Of particular note is the fact that this ball is stamped with the bold words "Brooklyn Dodgers," signifying that it must have been purchased by a fan in the Ebbets Field gift shop and signed by the Yanks during the first October Subway Series these two teams shared. Signature quality is first-rate, with the average squarely in the 8/10 range, and all readily legible. Please note that the signatures of McCarthy and Combs have been deemed secretarial. A very special ball of 1941 World Series vintage. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
