    Description

1941 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball from Christy Walsh. The classiest of executive desk accessories. "Dr. C.J. Barborka" was presented this important keepsake by the legendary early sports agent Christy Walsh (best known for a stable of athletes that included Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig), as is evidenced by the golden embossed lettering on the surface of the ink blotter to which the baseball is mounted. The ball itself is the real attraction here, however, signed by the World Champs during the first of many October meetings with the rival Brooklyn Dodgers. The OAL (Harridge) ball is notated "1941 World Series," and autographed by twelve of the Bronx' biggest stars, namely DiMaggio, Ruffing, McCarthy, Gomez, Combs, Crosetti, Henrich, Dickey and Rolfe. All signatures rate 7/10 or better, and the ball is toned an even and attractive shade of beige. Historic in so many ways, this piece should impress even the most jaded collector. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.
