    Description

1940 Ty Cobb Signed Coca-Cola Stock Certificate. Two of Georgia's most famous exports come together in this rare and desirable offering that should tempt sports and Americana collectors alike. Cobb retired from baseball as the sport's first millionaire in 1928, and his net worth would expand greatly in his later years, largely due to his early investment in a beverage company that would become one of the most recognizable brands in the world. Here the iconic ballplayer provides a 10/10 black fountain pen signature as President of the "Twin Falls Coca-Cola Bottling Co." on a canceled certificate representing $39,000 in capital stock. The 6x10" certificate exhibits two vertical fold lines from storage, but is otherwise free of any distractions. Just the third Coca-Cola stock certificate from Cobb to reach the major public auction block in the past dozen years. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
