    Description

1940's Grover Cleveland Alexander Cut Signature, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. Had he not lost a season and a half to military service during the first World War, Old Pete almost certainly would have joined Cy Young and Walter Johnson as the only men in Major League history to tally four hundred victories. Even shortening his middle name to an initial, Alexander was forced to sign diagonally on this 3x5" off-white cut. Signature, in blue fountain pen, rates 8/10. Only flaw to be noted is minor tearing in the upper left corner. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Near Mint-Mint 9.
