1940 Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown Signed Government Postcard. The $65,000+ price realized in our August Signature auction for a single signed baseball from this Dead Ball legend indicates just how popular Three Finger Brown remains among autograph collectors. This 10/10 representation was sent to a Michigan collector in 1940 from Brown's Terre Haute, Indiana hometown, charmingly and rather modestly inscribed, "Mordecai Brown, a Cub." A small divot at the bottom of the penny postcard causes little distraction, nor does slight paper loss on verso from scrapbook removal. One of the hottest autographs in the hobby right now. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
