    Description

1940 Monty Stratton Signed Checks Lot of 11. After having his leg amputated due to a hunting accident in 1938 and being rejected after trying to enlist in the WWII military, former major league pitcher Monty Stratton started a semi-pro team in Greenville, Texas. There he honed his coordination and worked towards a return to the mound, which he eventually achieved in 1946. From his days in Texas we present this collection of checks signed by Stratton, numbering 11 in total. LOA from PSA/DNA.
