1939 Kenesaw Mountain Landis Signed Baseball Centennial First Day Cover, PSA/DNA Mint 9. A federal judge who served as Major League Baseball's first commissioner, Landis was known for his strong beliefs and iron will. Here, he signs a 1939 first day cover, with one of the best baseball centennial graphics you will ever see, in bold 9.5/10 black steel-tip fountain pen. A small photograph of the Judge was added at the time to enhance the display appeal of the piece and it does the job. This auction features only the second and third Landis single-signed centennial covers we are aware of. COA from SGC. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, Mint 9.
