1939 Jimmy Collins Signed Album Page. A slick fielding third baseman at the turn of the century, Collins is best remembered as the player manager who led the Boston Red Sox to the first ever World Series victory in 1903. Posthumously inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1945, two years after his passing, Collins is a major challenge to any collector seeking his important autograph. This is perhaps the finest example in the hobby. Collins' black fountain pen ink survives with 9+/10 boldness on the salmon-colored autograph album page, reading "Sincerely Yours 'Jimmy Collins, Oct. 5, 1939, 3rd B." Page is 4.25x6", folded in half clear of the writing. Just the third Collins autograph to hit the major auction block this century. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
