1939 Jimmie Foxx Signed Photograph by George Burke. Exquisite 8x10" photographic portrait is unmistakably the work of celebrated baseball lensman George Burke, whose work serves as the preferred visual record of 1930's ball. His studio stamp appears on verso, along with a 1939 date in an unknown hand. The front provides a classic image of the second man in the 500 Home Run clubhouse, who inscribes "To Eddie Hogan, My best to you, Jimmie Foxx," in 8/10 vintage black fountain pen ink. A couple small corner bends and mild staining to the lower left border will be essentially invisible upon matting and framing. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
