    Description

1939 Connie Mack Signed Baseball Centennial First Day Cover, PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10. Connie Mack's baseball life spanned sixty-five years as a player, manager, executive, and owner, during which time he guided his beloved Athletics to five World Series titles. Postmarked from Cooperstown, NY the day of the Baseball Hall of Fame ribbon cutting ceremony, this highly collectible first day cover is made all the more desirable by the addition of a splendid black steel-tip fountain pen signature of one Cornelius McGillicuddy (aka Connie Mack) who was one of the day's honorees. The autograph appears at the top left in 9.5/10 strength. Also, a photo of Mack is affixed at the bottom right. COA from SGC. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, Gem Mint 10.
