    Description

1939 Bill McKechnie Signed Letter. Fantastic baseball content and a little dose of sarcasm makes this one a particularly appealing TLS. McKechnie provides a brief resume in the form of a list of teams he has represented as a player, but not before noting, "...if I were to try and give you the information you desire, it would be necessary for me to get all the statistics and statisticians in baseball, and I know you do not want to bore me with that time." The single typed page appears on Cincinnati Reds team letterhead, and provides a 10/10 black fountain pen signature from the 1962 Hall of Fame inductee. Original mailing folds and remnants of scrapbook removal on verso, but letter presents nicely with no distracting flaws. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
