    Description

1939 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. Just eleven days after tearfully embracing the stricken Lou Gehrig following the delivery of his "Luckiest Man" speech, the Babe autographed this extraordinary relic for a young fan. The newly-minted Hall of Famer provides a spectacular black fountain pen signature which earns a 9/10 rating from the meticulous graders at PSA. The non-official ball merits a 6/10, with a half point added for visual appeal to calculate the final NM-MT 8 rating. Of course we'll all agree that the signature is the far more important criterion, and only a handful of Ruth singles have earned that lofty mark from PSA. Unquestionably one of the finest Ruth balls in the hobby, dating to one of the most significant years in the history of the sport. Full grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM-MT 8. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
