    Description

1938 Monte Pearson No-Hit Game Used Baseball Signed by Gehrig & Others. It took just one game for the Babe to consecrate his House with a homer, but fifteen years for a pitcher to tame its massive confines with a no-hit performance. It came in a twelve to nothing drubbing of the visiting Cleveland Indians on August 27, 1938 as the Yanks were turning onto the final straightaway en route to another World Championship. Pearson autographs the eastern panel and we have ever reason to believe it is his printing just below that announces "No Hit Game, Aug. 27, 1938, N.Y. vs. Cleveland." Gehrig's 9/10 autograph claims the sweet spot of the OAL (Harridge) ball. Other signers include Ruffing, Dickey, DiMaggio (3/10), Gordon and Henrich. Unless otherwise noted, all signatures rate 7/10 or better. This is the first game ball we've ever encountered from this historic Bronx occasion, so serious Yankees collectors should take note. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
