    Description

1938 Lou Gehrig Signed Government Postcard, PSA/DNA Mint 9. High-grade penny postcard was mailed by the Iron Horse on the date of a twelve to eight victory over the visiting Detroit Tigers, as the "Bronx Cent. Annex, NY, May 7, 1938" postmark on verso attests. The black fountain pen inscription, "Best Wishes Ray, Lou Gehrig," has been assigned a stellar Mint 9 grade by PSA/DNA, and the handwritten address on verso is applied in Gehrig's similarly bold hand as well. Certainly one of the finest Gehrig GPC's in the hobby. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Mint 9. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
