    Description

1938 Joe DiMaggio Vintage Signed Photograph. While there is certainly no shortage of modern prints signed by the Yankee Clipper in blue sharpie, original vintage photos signed in period ink are far more rare and carry tremendous collecting appeal. Here we present a look at Joltin' Joe in his third Big League season, posing in his road greys with bat in hand. The image, dated "May 1938" at lower right, is a winner in its own right, but a World Champ with the vintage blue ink "Best Wishes, Joe DiMaggio" that crosses the young slugger's body in 9+/10 blue ink. Sharp collectors will instantly recognize the difference between this period signature and those signed in DiMaggio's retirement years. The image size is 4.5x6.25", with the mount bringing final dimensions to 7.5x9.5". LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
