    1938-45 Babe Ruth & Other Celebrities Signed Union Pacific & Santa Fe Railroad Ticket Envelopes Lot of 34. UPDATE: This lot now comes with a full grading LOA from PSA/DNA, Mint 9, for the Ruth autograph

    Phenomenal collection of vintage celebrity autographs were collected by the consignor's father while he was a train conductor during the 1930's and 40's. The thirty-four Union Pacific Railroad and Santa Fe Railroad ticket envelopes contain a total of thirty-eight autographs.

    Featuring giants of the sports and entertainment world at the time, the NRMT pencil autographs include: Babe Ruth (1940), Mrs. Babe Ruth (1940), Dizzy Dean (1938), Spencer Tracy (1938), Gary Cooper (1944), Sara Shaw (aka Veronica Cooper, actress and wife of Gary Cooper, 1944), Jack Benny (1945), Mary Livingstone (comedian, actress, and wife of Jack Benny, 1938), Fred MacMurray (actor, 1944), Edgar Bergen & Charlie (ventriloquist,1944), Lily Pons (soprano and actress, 1938), Jeanette MacDonald (singer and actress, 1943), Alice Faye Harris (actress, singer, and wife of Phil Harris, 1945), Phil Harris (comedian, actor, singer, jazz musician, and husband of Alice Faye, 1945), Eddie "Rochester" Anderson (comedian, actor, and the first African American to have a regular role on a nationwide radio program, 1945), Don Wilson (announcer for the Jack Benny Program, 1945), Milton Josefsberg (radio writer for The Jack Benny Program, 1945), John Tackaberry (radio writer for The Jack Benny Program, 1945), Frank Remley & George Finley (guitarist and pianist on The Jack Benny Program, 1945), Alec Templeton (pianist, 1945), Frank LaForge (pianist, 1938), William MacLeod Raine (novelist, 1945), Countess of Covadonga (1938), José Gómez-Mena (Cuban sugar baron, 1938), and eleven other signatures.
