1937 Lou Gehrig Signed Album Page. On a day that saw the Yankees disappoint Griffith Stadium fans with a six to nothing defeat of the Washington Senators, one young lady sought out the star first baseman of the New York club and asked for an autograph. The simply unimprovable result, entirely in the Iron Horse's 10/10 black fountain pen ink, reads, "9/4/37, To Anna with kind regards Lou Gehrig." The few other signatures residing in this ancient leather autograph album are from friends and family of the young collector. She seemed to realize that, after Gehrig, there was nobody else who could possibly compete. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
