    Description

1936 Johnny Evers Handwritten Signed Letter. The pivot man in baseball's most storied double-play combination graciously responds to an autograph request with this handwritten note on the letterhead of his Albany, NY sporting goods store. All black fountain pen ink, including the closing "John J. Evers" signature, rates a marvelous 9+/10. The page appears to have been expertly trimmed of the last four inches of its length, but otherwise exhibits no flaws beyond original mailing folds. An exceedingly tough ALS, absent from all but the most comprehensive of private collections. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
