1936 Babe Ruth Signed Card. After cherishing it for more than seven decades, our consignor passes on this childhood keepsake to a new generation of collector. The 3x5" piece of paper has been laminated to arrest its deterioration, but the ink remains as bold as the day it was penned, reading, "To Sanford Fitchman, Sincerely Babe Ruth, Oct. 15, 1936, Greenwood Lake, NY." Also included are two great photos of Ruth with young Sanford, a color 8x10" shot at the restaurant owned by Sanford's aunt and uncle (Sanford in green jacket), and a second snapshot (3x4") of Ruth and Sanford on a Manhattan street corner. Photos are VG. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
