    Description

1935 Johnny Evers "Tinker to Evers to Chance" Autograph. The pivot man in the most famous of double-play combinations, the Hall of Fame second baseman gives the collector exactly what he dreams of by referencing the trio of which he was a part in this inscription clipped from some form of correspondence. The 9/10 black ink text, entirely in Evers' hand, reads, "Certainly, John J "Johnny" Evers, Tinker to Evers to Chance, June 12, 1935." We couldn't imagine a more desirable Evers signature (actually, technically two signatures!) existing in the collecting hobby. The lined paper is affixed to a card stock backing, and measures 2.5x4". Vintage tape touches the letter "C" in "Certainly" at left, but the inscription and autograph are otherwise well in the clear. Advanced autograph collectors will surely realize what a special opportunity is offered here. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.
