    Description

1934 Tour of Japan Partial Team Signed Baseball with Ruth, Gehrig. Depression-era orb stamped with the logo of a Tokyo sporting goods company derives from the most famous foreign baseball tour in the sport's history. Nine members of that intrepid squad have applied ink to horsehide here, beginning with a bold (8/10) sweet spot Ruth and an equally strong Gehrig to the west, though a small defect to the leather claims the second letter of the Horse's surname. The balance of signers: Earl Averill, Moe Berg, Bing Miller, Frank Hayes, Clint Brown, Earl Whitehill and Doc Ebling. These average 7/10 to 8/10 in strength. The ball is yellowed with age with some staining on opposite sweet spot from Ruth, but these factors are little distraction. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
