1934 Jimmie Foxx Signed Tour of Japan Photograph, PSA Mint 9. Ideal vintage and supreme quality join forces to create what many would consider the finest Foxx signed photograph ever offered. Baseball historians will recognize the unusual "All Americans" jersey worn by the second man in the 500 Home Run Clubhouse, the style sported by the American tourists as they took Japan by storm in 1934 with Foxx, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and a host of other baseball legends. Universally considered the most consequential foreign excursion in the history of our National Pastime, the 1934 Tour of Japan is properly one of the most collectible subgenres of the baseball memorabilia collecting hobby. But few autographed articles have survived the passage of eight decades as well as this one, sporting a black fountain pen inscription, "To Red, my best to a real fellow, Jimmie Foxx," that demands a 10/10 assessment. A small wrinkle that runs from the top of the photo to the brim of Foxx' cap is the only condition issue of any note. Photo measures 4x6", matted and framed to 14x16". A truly spectacular representation for the uncompromising collector. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
