1934 Eddie Collins Typed Signed Letter. After a Hall of Fame career as a second baseman with the Philadelphia Athletics and Chicago White Sox, Eddie Collins spent two seasons with Philadelphia as a coach. In 1933, Collins joined the Red Sox as vice president and general manager and remained with the team for the rest of his life. He was a personal friend of Boston owner Tom Yawkey whom he persuaded to purchase the franchise. As a Boston executive, Collins scouted and signed Ted Williams and Bobby Doerr but was unable to secure Jackie Robinson after he tried out with the club.

The 1934 typed signed letter on offer here features stunning team letterhead and a large 10/10 Collins autograph in sensational gold ink. Subject matter deals with hiring a superintendent for Fenway Park. Double-matted and framed to 13x15.5", he letter is in perfect condition with the exception of two horizontal folds and two binder punch holes. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
