    Description

1934 American League All-Star Team Signed Baseball. The All-Star Game had been imagined in 1933 as a one-time event to draw further attention to the Chicago World Fair, but the remarkable consolidation of baseball greatness on a single diamond proved such a rousing success that a tradition was born. Here we present an ONL (Heydler) ball signed by the victorious Junior Circuit team at Manhattan's Polo Grounds, anchored by the twin Yankee engines of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig at sweet spot and eastern panel respectively. Other future Hall of Famers include Ruffing, Gehringer, Ferrell, Averill, Cronin, Manush and Cleveland Indians manager Walter Johnson. Appearing in secretarial format are Foxx, Dickey, Cochrane, Simmons and Gomez. Twenty-one autographs appear in total, averaging 6/10 in strength. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
